The Meaning of Life

Breath of life, I was given. Why?
Sorrow, tribulation, trembling fright. Is there more to life?
More to being? In being?

These questions seek Truth. And Truth yearns to be known.
So, Truth asked these questions of me.

So, I sought. And then Truth impelled, for He opened my eyes!
Truth revealed the Answer to the question of “why?”

Truth became flesh, and dwelt amongst men—
To overcome death, He died on a cross,
Divinely crushed in my place, for full payment of my sins.

Now on bended knee, with heart breathed anew for eternity,
I marvel to inexplicable degree that Truth now resides within me!

Restored vessel of mercy; living temple of praise—
I am now alive to know and behold His glory and grace.

A new creation in Truth, spirit reborn, soul washed clean.
The Spirit of Truth lives inside me.

No longer alone! Now cleaved to Christ, I am one with Him—
Truth’s Name is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—Triune is He!

My body, now dead, no longer my meaning for life—
My soul, now restored, given a new meaning of life—
My spirit, now joined to Truth for eternal life.

I am free and alive! Humbled, clothed and commissioned for war—
against powers of darkness, and what remains of my clay core.
So, battle I will, until Truth completes His plan to restore!

Though once troubled with life, and not knowing why,
I now know The Answer—for the Meaning of Life.

Breath of Life was given, so that I may adore and inextricably know,
in Peace and in victorious War, the Great I AM—
The Glorious Christ!
